A person named Mohsin Talukder came on Facebook Live and threatened to kill Shakib with Ramda. The reason is known to all. Shakib Al Hasan had attended the Kali Puja ceremony in Kolkata a few months ago and he got angry and made the threat.

At the hearing, the court said, “Whether a world-class cricketer goes to Kali Puja or to the mosque is a personal matter. No one can threaten to kill him for this. ‘
Shakib Al Hasan went to a Kali Puja ceremony in Kolkata on November 12, 2020. Then the news came out that he had inaugurated the puja. But later Shakib and the organizers denied it. Then on November 15 at 12:07 pm, Mohsin Talukder came on Facebook Live and threatened to kill Shakib by showing him a knife. Mohsin Talukder is the son of Azad Box of Talukdar Para village in Tukerbazar union of Sylhet Sadar upazila. Realizing the danger, Mohsin came live on November 17 and apologized. On the same day, Shakib posted a video on YouTube saying ‘I apologize’ for going to Kali Puja and claiming to be a true Muslim.
On the other hand, the police arrested Mohsin Talukder on November 16 in the face of strong reaction from netizens.
Bangladesh had a busy schedule this year. In addition to many bilateral series at home and abroad, there were Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. Apart from Shakib, there was a lot of discussion, concern and anxiety about how Bangladesh is in these. But almost everything has been put on hold due to the global pandemic coronavirus.
