Besides patrolling, Narayanganj police appeared with Sehri.
Many people floating in different big cities of the country including Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, can be seen sleeping on the sidewalks, bus terminals, launch terminals or railway stations. Many of these homeless people choose to spend the night in these places as they have no place to stay. Again, many have homes but are forced to live on the streets for livelihood or any other reason.
There are many others who are homeless after river erosion, floods and other natural disasters. Again many are on the way due to family breakdown. They are forced to come to the city for various reasons and choose the path of the area where they find their livelihood.
There are many like this who have been on the streets for 30-35 years. Those who are working with these people on the road say that they need a number of integrated plans and initiatives to improve their quality of life.
Meanwhile, Narayanganj police has taken a humanitarian initiative.
They are patrolling to ensure the safety of the people. As well as patrolling, they give the floaters cooked food for Sehri. Such scenes have been seen in different places of Narayanganj city and suburbs.
Pictures of such a program of Narayanganj police have also been uploaded through social media. On Friday night, the police handed over Sehri food to the floating people lying in the alleys of the city at different places of the city from Chashara Gol Chattar.
Confirming the matter, Narayanganj Traffic Admin Kamrul Islam said the Narayanganj District Superintendent of Police had directed to ensure the safety of the people at night as well as hand over sehri food to the people floating on the road. The police will work for the safety of such people. At the same time, humanity is another part of our work. Patrolling the streets as well as delivering some food to the floating people is only a matter of time.
In this regard, Narayanganj District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Zaidul Alam said, it is very little work. On the one hand, such patrol work is going on, on the other hand, humanitarian work will be an inspiration for us. If we all stand by the miserable people in this way, prayers will be available in the month of Ramadan. And the slogan “Police is Janata, Janata is Police” mentions service to the people.
