The title is ‘fake’, the legal notice of Hefajot leader to the child speaker.
Rafiqul Islam, a popular children speaker, has been sent a legal notice for using the title ‘Madani’ at the end of his name without studying at the University of Medina in Saudi Arabia.
Supreme Court lawyer Shariful Hasan Khan on Monday sent a notice on behalf of Maulana Rafiqul Islam Madani, Ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh’s Medina branch and central member of the organization. The lawyer confirmed the matter to the media on Tuesday evening.
Rafiqul Islam was informed in the notice that legal action would be taken if he did not stop using the title ‘Madani’ with his identity within the next 15 days.
That said, you have been illegally using the title ‘Madani’ with your own name for a long time, despite not having studied at the University of Medina and not living in Medina Munawwara, which is unfair. He is using the title ‘Madani’ with his own name for the base purpose of deceiving people and deceitfully concealing the truth for the purpose of gaining immoral benefits and destroying the acceptability of my client to the readers including Alem-Olama, which is completely immoral and illegal.
The notice further said, “My client Maulana Rafiqul Islam Madani has been known by his name as ‘Madani’ for more than 25 years. But despite my client verbally requesting you to refrain from this immoral act more than once, you are continuing your immoral and illegal act without fulfilling the request. Legal action will be taken within the next 15 days if he does not refrain from using the title ‘Madani’.
It is learned that the recipient of the notice Rafiqul Islam studied at Jamia Madania Baridhara Madrasa in the capital. Because of his small body size, everyone called him a child speaker and he is known as such.
