Mujib 100 app has launched.
The ‘Mujib 100’ app, launched by the ICT department, has been launched with the aim of highlighting the history of Bangabandhu’s philosophy and life of struggle among future generations. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak officially inaugurated the virtual app on Sunday. The matter has been informed in a statement of the Information Department.
During the inauguration, the state minister said, “One of the aims of this app is to give a detailed idea about the life and work of Bangabandhu to the present and future generations of the country.” The app has been created with all the speeches given during Bangabandhu’s lifetime, books written by Bangabandhu and various events of Bangabandhu’s life.
But the Important features of ‘Mujib 100’ app include Bangabandhu Pratidin, events in Bangabandhu’s life, documentaries about Bangabandhu, historical speeches on March 7, letters written by Bangabandhu and autobiographical books. The photo archive has been created with pictures of different periods of Bangabandhu’s struggling life. Apart from this, updates on various celebrations of Mujib’s centenary will be available through the app’s ‘Event’ feature.
The latest technology in the world has been used to build this app. Proof of which will be found in the features like augmented reality and virtual reality of the app. Apart from this, the app has been arranged with various content including statements of world leaders about Bangabandhu, theme song of Mujib centenary, graphic novel ‘Mujib’ made about Bangabandhu.
The State Minister for ICT said, “Through this app, the young generation will be inspired to read various quotes from the political and personal life of Bangabandhu.” The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Apple Store. It can be used online and offline and with very little bandwidth. The app can be used in both Bengali and English.
The state minister called upon the young generation to follow and apply Bangabandhu’s life style. The inaugural program was conducted by Anwarul Islam, Project Director, Mobile Game and Application Development Project. It is to be noted that Mujib’s centenary is being celebrated through various programs across the country. On the occasion of Mujib Year, a website called mujib100.gov.bd was created at the initiative of the Department of Information and Communication Technology. The Mujib 100 app is a mobile version of this website. It has been created under the Department of Information and Communication Technology’s ‘Skill Development for Mobile Games and Applications’ project.
