Professor Harun-ur-Rashid, vice-chancellor of the national university, said the one-time curse session of the national university is no more. There is no image crisis. Even a few days ago it was seen as the Board of Education.
He said this at a press briefing held at the Senate Hall of the National University on Monday on the occasion of his two terms as Vice-Chancellor. At this time, he highlighted the various development activities, successes and progress of the university in the last 8 years.
The Vice-Chancellor said, “We have been able to transform the National University into an institution of higher learning from the image of the Board of Education by following the policy of ‘suppression of evil and observance of etiquette’ by bringing the university under rules, transparency and accountability.” The revolutionary changes that have taken place in various fields, including the management of the university, must be continued. ‘
Noting that efforts have been made to reshape the National University by overcoming all kinds of limitations and adverse conditions, the Vice-Chancellor said, “The National University today is an IT-based university. 95% of the activities are done online. At the same time the administration system has been decentralized. At present 3 permanent regional centers are being constructed on each acre of land. Six more permanent regional centers will be set up across the country. There was no accommodation for anyone on campus before. At present, five buildings are being constructed on a 10-storey basis, including two 6-storey buildings (one for officers and one for emergency service personnel).
Professor Harun-ur-Rashid added, ‘The construction of the first two buildings has been completed. In addition to revolutionary changes in the management system of the university and infrastructural expansion, new academic courses have been introduced. In the future, we need to think seriously about introducing short courses or diploma programs in vocational and technical subjects in addition to conventional education in colleges. ‘
Noting that there was no lack of honesty, dedication and dedication in running the university, the Vice-Chancellor said, “I have spent the best 6 years of my life in this university. I have reached the doorstep of the second term. Three days from today, i.e. March 4 is my last working day. Nevertheless, I am happy to leave this organization. I have no complaints against anyone. I am a satisfied person in any situation. ‘
